All three lifts from the multi-storey are currently out- as of yesterday. Just bear in mind if you have poor mobility or use a trolley to get back to your car.
I'm not sure what's happened with the Home Bargains one. It's been out for months, but never had a out of order notice on it. As if they just can't be bothered.
Really gone down the drain lately, rude people no lifts working, gangs of kids hanging around and just a generally trampy feel to the whole town. High street is tired shops not are looked after avoid this place if you can.
Nice town but if you wanna buy anything from charity shops might need to remortgage the prices are crazy I can honestly say I carnt afford to shop in them 😆 …
This is a typical small-town shopping centre, built when it was a fashionable thing to have. There is quite a good selection of shops particularly hairdressers, barbers, and beauty salons.
Like most shopping centres it is sadly seen better happier days. What shops that are left are o.k. good selection of charity shops though
There are a good variety of shops here. Two charity shops. Iceland, Greggs, Costa Coffee, a Cafe, WH Smiths, Home Bargains.
Plus a barbers, a discount shop. Two opticians, a bar, Pizza takeaway, an Ironmongers, a health food shop. A travel agent, Boots Chemist, Two clothing stores.
You can get some good bargains here. I like the benches, they are great for a few minutes rest. The best time to come is before the children come out of school.
There is a lift in Home Bargains, which probably takes you up to the car park. There are stairs and a lift up to the car park near Iceland.
This is one of my favourite places to shop, partly because it can be quiet during the morning and early afternoons. Also because of the choice of shops.
I think it is a much nicer place to visit than Walsall Town Centre. The shops are fairly close together. The benches are much nicer than the ones in Walsall. With the flower boxes and tubs, it looks very nice.
Aldridge has won medals in the Britain In Bloom awards. Local residents always make a great effort with the floral display. I love the planters and tubs. Shows how much people in Aldridge care about their surroundings in the Village.
The main road is also fairly quiet too. It is a very nice place to visit, feels more welcoming than Walsall. A good place to explore.
I don't know if anyone has seen the two new huts (or cabins) that have been put up. One is in front of Costa Coffee, the other is by the stairs and lift to the car park. Have posted photos of the cabin by the stairs to the car park. It is going to be a shop selling mobile phones.
I think the other cabin will sell takeaway food. Haven't taken any photos of their menu, will do soon and post them.
Part of a nice village centre. Shopping Centre clean and well maintained with greenery and a mix of individual shops and supermarkets.
A great range of shops all within a well presented and clean setting. Home bargains, whsmiths, costa, opticians, cafes, takeaways, charity shops, a characterful wetherspoons pub, through to specialist shops like a hifi retailers. Something for everyone. Free parking on high street and a multi story. An excellent small town shopping experience, with a great local feeling. Well worth a visit. 👍
Still busy enough to keep a useful range of shops, and there is always parking.
